Frequently asked questions
Is there a male birth control pill I can buy?
No. No male contraceptive pill, gel or implant has been approved by the FDA or any other regulator. Be wary of any website or seller claiming otherwise.
When will the male pill be available?
Nobody can give a reliable date. Products must finish large Phase 3 trials and regulatory review first. NES/T gel's developer expects to start Phase 3 in 2027; YCT-529 is in earlier Phase 1b/2a testing.
What male birth control options exist today?
Condoms and vasectomy. A clinician can help you weigh them.
Is male birth control safe?
Safety is still being studied in clinical trials, and we don't make safety claims. See trial publications on our status page and ask a clinician.
How can I join a clinical trial?
Search ClinicalTrials.gov for the study. Eligibility and locations are set by the study team; we're not involved in recruiting.
Is the waitlist a preorder?
No. It's a free email list for news. We don't sell or reserve any product.
